In 2018 We Provided 109 Courses to 1.571 Third-Country Nationals

The Welcome to the Czech Republic adaptation-integration courses are intended for all third-country nationals and are provided for free. In Prague the courses took place in regular intervals and the highest demand was for courses in English and Russian. Less frequently but also regularly, there were courses interpreted into Ukrainian. From this year, we have been offering courses in Spanish, too. Most adaptation-integration courses were organised in Prague at the premises of Slovo 21. They took place during weekends, so that as many people as possible were able to come. Some courses were held at integration centres and non-governmental organisations which provide services to foreigners, based on the demand from foreigners.

In 2018, Slovo 21 continued in their cooperation with employers who employ foreigners. The adaptation-integration courses organised for the international employees of these companies took place right at the premises of the companies. Altogether, there were 35 courses for 671 people. Starting from September 2018, there were courses for newcomer students organised in cooperation with public universities and private education institutions. During the whole of last year, Slovo 21 also kept cooperating with migrant organisations and carried out courses at their premises. This was a great advantage for the participants who are used to going to these organisations on a regular basis.

The adaptation-integration courses were offered in Czech and interpreted into English, Russian, Ukrainian, Mongolian, Vietnamese, French, Arabic, and Spanish languages.
